Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The purpose of the Journal of Global Affairs and Public Policy (JGAPP) is to publish scholarly works that provide in-depth understanding of public policy in relation to worldwide affairs.

Issues will be discussed using a global conceptual framework in order to illuminate the interdependence and connectedness nature of challenges facing nations with the aim of applying knowledge to impact positive social change for the greater good.

The global perspective will allow examination of public policy issues through a broader and critical view that seeks to understand the link between our own lives and those of people throughout the world.

Adopting a global perspective will allow both writers and readers to enhance their understanding of the social, political, economic, and environmental forces that shape our existence and how public policy impacts individuals across countries and cultures.

The JGAPP is an e-journal designed for online delivery to readers worldwide. Articles will be available in electronic format only. Each article will have an individualized pagination.

The journal’s geographical span is global delivered through the cyber-space. The journal editors make conscious effort to publish works from the five continents.

The journal solicits works from individuals interested in public policy and global affairs. Additionally, all types of organizations dealing with public policy and global affairs are encouraged to submit their scholarly works. Organizations may include governmental, international nongovernmental (INGOs), nongovernmental (NGOs) and business organizations.

Peer Review Process

All work is peer-reviewed, and must be submitted electronically. Work submitted by regular mail is not accepted. Contact technical support (macharia at kdnc.org) for help if you are having problems submitting your work.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject any materials submitted and to make editorial decisions to accepted material.

Authors are responsible for the opinions expressed by contributors.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
